Joy of Pro! Under this title, the Swiss manufacturer BERNINA is launching a new premium model, the B 790 PRO, and simultaneously changing the brand’s appearance. With the addition of a laser, WiFi and other innovative features, the B 790 PRO will make your sewing, embroidery and quilting tasks even more enjoyable.

Simply click a button on the sewing machine head to automatically feed the sewing thread through the eye of the needle. A process that used to take time and skill can now be done at the click of a button. This simplification of operation is typical of the B 790 PRO. When a new product is developed at the BERNINA head office in Steckborn, Switzerland, the focus is on customer experience. Customers should be able to concentrate on realizing their design ideas during sewing, embroidery and quilting tasks using the B 790 PRO – and produce precise, perfect results every time.

The campaign which accompanies the launch of the B 790 PRO is a fitting one: The Marketing team at BERNINA has redesigned the visual appearance of the brand. The new look is colorful, straigthforward and generously laid out. The overwhelming message is “joy”. “We are focusing on the joy of creating and attracting sewing enthusiasts to BERNINA,” explains Claudia Staber, Head of International Marketing at BERNINA International AG. “Customers have the opportunity to experience BERNINA as a creative world in which dreams come true.” In this world, the BERNINA 790 PRO is a tool which, as a premium technical product with Swiss innovations, enables the precise, reliable realization of these dreams.

The next level of sewing, quilting and embroidery

One of these innovations is a laser that pinpoints exactly where the needle will enter the fabric and thus enables pinpoint precision sewing and embroidery. Another new feature is the stitchprecision² Technology. This enables outstanding stitch quality at an embroidery speed that is 33% faster. Other unique functions can be accessed via the touch screen, including:

• 4-Point Placement with Morphing: This new feature enables an embroidery design to be positioned precisely on a project and the design to be morphed to fit.
• WiFi: The B 790 PRO can communicate with the BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 wirelessly. You can now transfer embroidery designs created or edited in the software on the PC to the machine, or the other way around. And thanks to the new BERNINA Stitchout App, the embroidery process can be easily monitored on your smartphone. The B 790 PRO connects with the app, allowing you to monitor the status of your embroidery stitchout from any room in your house. The app notifies you of a thread color change, thread breakage or when the design is finished.
• Stitch Designer: Want an embroidery stitch in the shape of your favorite flower? With the Stitch Designer, you can easily implement these kinds of ideas. Draw the design you want on the touch screen and it will be converted into decorative stitches at the click of a button.

Functionality and operating comfort

The B 790 PRO not only boasts a large range of functions, it also sets new benchmarks in terms of operating comfort. The ergonomically positioned 7-inch touch screen makes it easy to navigate to stitches, stitch patterns, alphabets and stitching designs. There are over 2000 stitches and 500 stitch designs to choose from, and you can mirror, rotate, combine or format them in any way you like. So that you can keep track of everything, the machine has a clearly structured operating menu and an onboard tutorial function which explains all the important functions as animations.
